International Mission

PCOS provides International Mission Opportunities for its members. Listed below are ways you can help.


haitiGlobal Orphan Project is reaching out to the children of Haiti. www.theglobalorphanproject.org We recently adopted the Mondesir Orphan Village in Haiti and look forward to helping in the near future. We do have an ongoing collection for items needed by the orphans. Donations can be left at the church.

Help us collect items for our trip: Personal hygiene items, Crocs/shoes all sizes, soccer balls, basketballs, footballs, ball pumps with needles, books, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, clothes for boys and girls and other small toys. Thank you!


Witnessing Ministries of Christ is a Presbyterian mission to the Dalits (untouchables) of India. These lives are transformed as they are told of God’s love for them through Jesus Christ. Education of children and pastors is a key to their future. PCOS and individuals are sponsoring children and pastor couples to seminary.

PCOS Blood Drives for 2012- Help Save a Life!
Please consider donating- you can sign up at the Welcome Center or online, www.savealifenow.org click "schedule and appointment" and enter stanleypres as the code.
Dates for 2012: 4/10, 7/31, and 11/27. Appointments begin at 12:30-6pm.


Ongoing Collections for Grace United Community Minsitries (GUCM) and Johnson County Family Lodge. Donations can be left at the church.
GUCM Needs
: gently used clothing for children and men, paper products, after school snacks, new socks and underwear for all ages.
JOCO Needs:
cleaning supplies, peanut butter, breakfast cereal, canned food items.

Angel Tree

This ministry reaches out to children of inmates and their families with the love of Christ. It seeks to transform the lives of these families and to reconcile them to their Heavenly Father and each other.  Website

Holistic Help Organizations:
Heartland Habitat for Humanity

A nonprofit, Ecumenical Christian housing ministry, dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide. They work to provide adequate, affordable shelter and to date have renovated over 200,000 homes.  Website

Cross Lines Cooperative
Over the past forty-four years, this community outreach has been supported by a network of businesses, churches and individuals. They have provided a daily source of assistance for at-risk families, the elderly and single individuals.  Website

The second half of the Presbyterian Church of Stanley’s Mission statement, “To…make Christ known” is experienced and witnessed by our congregation through acts of missions initiated by disciples of Jesus Christ actively seeking ways to serve the community, nation and the world. Overseen by the Mission Committee, the Presbyterian Church of Stanley seeks to develop thriving partnerships that are defined by prayer, participation and communication with Christ-centered ministries first in our own community, then expanding outwardly into our city, nation and worl
