Kids Care Club

Kidz Care Club kicks off for 2 Sessions in 2009-2010!
Wednesday afternoons from 4:15 to 5:15 for 1st - 6th graders.

Session 1: September 23- November 8
Session 2: January 13- March 10

Kids will be collecting the following items at Wednesday Night Dinner, Feb. 10. They will also host the soup dinner that evening.
Please help us collect items to make personal care kits-
- Band-aids
- Nail clippers
- Individual bar bath soap
- Toothbrushes
- Wash cloths
- Wide toothed comb



This mid-week program focuses on mission. Kids learn about the missions of the church and participate in hands-on mission projects. This year we will learn about the Terracycle Project that involves collecting packaging and wrappers that would go in the trash. Then reusing those to produce folders for school children. Another program will involve exploring the Miracles of the Moringa Tree. The leaves, pods, seed and trunk of this tree are all edible! We will try to grow our very own Moringa tree. Of course games and snacks are part of this afternoon program.

Students in Session 1 were able to raised funds for the Youth Group's homeless minsitry by painting and auctioning ceramic bowls. Over $800 was raised to purchase food to feed the homeless of Kansas City!










We ask that all Children and Youth complete a REGISTRATION FORM activites that they participate in at PCOS. If Children or Youth are going to be traveling with a group from PCOS to an event, they will need to complete a PARENT/GAURDIAN CONSENT FORM. Both forms are online and can be dropped at the church office, Welcome Center or faxed to 913-681-8186. Consent forms cannot be faxed due to notary signature. A notatry is in the church office M-F, 9am-4pm, please call to verify on the day you plan to drop in.
