The purpose of childcare at the Presbyterian Church of Stanley is to provide a safe, secure, loving, and fun Christian environment for children, while parents attend worship and church activities.

Our caregivers are paid staff members and certified in CPR and first-aid. We offer a paging system, which allows parents to be contacted anywhere in the church within five seconds of being paged. We also use security cards that are required as identification when picking up your child.

We ask that all Children and Youth complete a REGISTRATION FORM activites that they participate in at PCOS. This includes Nursery.

Nursery Care
Nursury care is provided on Sunday mornings for all three worship services for the following:
Infants: Birth through nine months
Toddlers: 10—17 months
Walkers: 18 months to two years

Childcare Guidelines
-Childcare/Nursery facilities are available fifteen minutes before worship or church events.
-Please pick up your child as soon as your event is finished.
-Parents must sign their child into the nursery. The child will be given a name tag. Parents can pick up a security card and a pager at this time.
-It is helpful if diaper bags and other items are identified with the child’s name.
-Special instructions should be brought to the attention of the nursery staff.
-Please do not bring your child to the nursery if they show any signs of illness or fever.
-All children (ages 0—17 years) must have a current (2008/2009) notarized PCOS Consent Form on file in the church office.

Reservations for Childcare
Events are noted in the bulletin and newsletter, Proclamations, when childcare is provided. Please call the church office, 913-681-8180 ext 25, to make reservations OR email Jan McCreary ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) 48 hours in advance so we can arrange proper supervision. Weekly standing reservations are also available. A $2 donation per child is appreciated.

If you need to cancel a childcare reservation, please do so as soon as possible, so we can notify our staff of changes.
