Senior Pastor, Dr. Eric Laverentz 
Eric has been preaching since he was 13 years old. He is passionate about seeing the Holy Spirit work through people to bend the world to the shape of the Kingdom of God. He is a graduate of Truman State University, Princeton Theological Seminary, Vanderbilt University and is currently writing his dissertation for Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

He is a lifelong and loyal fan of the Chiefs and Royals. He is also a political junkie. His current favorite Bible verse is Malachi 4:2.

Parish Associate, Rev. Dr. Larry Thornton
Larry has spent 40 years in pastoral ministry and retired in 2001. He and his wife planned and led overseas tours to many countries in study seminars for over twenty years. He has been married to his wife; Julie, for 53 years. He and Julie wish to travel overseas and go to many different countries. He can loves to sing and play his guitar much to the enjoyment of the children and adults of PCOS. His favorite scripture is 2 Timothy 1:6-7.

Associate Pastor for Discipleship, Molly Jones
Molly is a native of Dallas so she attended Baylor University. She served many years and fulfilled many ministry/program leadership roles at her home church Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Later she would attend Erskine Theollogical Seminary in Augusta, GA. Molly would love a day to spend on the beach reading her favorite book, the Bible. her favorite movie is Star Wars and her favorite bible verse is Romans 5:1-5.

Associate Pastor for Mission & Evangelism, Bo Burgener
Bo received his philosophy degree from the University of Colorado. To fulfill his call to ministry, he would move to Austin, TX and receive Masters of Divinity from Austin Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Cara, would move to Omaha, NE, and serve as Pastor for Youth and Young Adults. Bo enjoys fishing at the lake with his family. His two favorite books are The Gunslinger by Stephen King, and Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky.

Music Ministries Director, Robyn Hartfield
Robyn has been at PCOS for almost 11 years. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in music from the Conservatory of Music at UMKC. Music has been her life's work. Prior to serving in the church she taught vocal music in many public school. Robyn enjoys spending time at her Dad's farm, with NO cell phone coverage. Robyn's favorite book is the Bible (B-asic, I-nformation, B-efore, L-eaving, E-arth) and one o her favorite passages is Proverbs 3:5-6.

KEN

11AM Worship Leader, Ken Davidson
Ken is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and he received his Masters of Theology and Biblical Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. He has worked ten years in Music Mission work with Heart and Sound International. His perfect day would be spent on a remote bicycle trail on a lovely spring day. Proverbs 3:5-6 directs Ken path, on foot or bicycle.

Youth Choir Assistant and Handbell Director, Natalie Mallare
Natalie recently graduated from The University of Kansas with a degree in Music Education and is a newly wed. She grew up in the PCOS Youth group and was very active in the youth choir. Her idea of a perfect day would be spent with her husband and family in the mountains or at the beach. The day would end with dinner and games.

Children's Choir Coordinator/Symphony Director, Pam Kelly
Pam recieved her undergraduate Bachelor's of Music Education degree from Central Missouri State University and obtained her Masters in Music Education from University of Kansas. she enjoys spending time with her family and her favorite movie is, of course, The Sound of Music. Her life phrase is "Carpe Diem."

Communications Director, Stephanie Neiger
Stephanie received he undergraduate degree in Graphic Design from the University of Kansas. She is currently, pursuing her third career and feels blessed to have had these life experiences. Technology is ever changing and fun to learn and utilize in communication to all ages. Her favorite book is The Stand, good will always prevail. Family time is key and that would be at home with her husband, two daughters and two cats.

Sheryl is serving in her tenth year at PCOS. She is the glue that keeps all the program staff and programs organized and on schedule. She is also a software guru and the answer lady. The perfect day for Sheryl is cool weather, sitting on the porch and reading a good adventure novel. Sheryl never leaves home without telling her family she loves them. Her life verse is 1 Thessolonians 5:16-18.

Administrative Assistant to the Pastors, Jill Hunstad
Jill joins our team with many years of experience as a church secretary and as a legal secretary. She has also had the opportunity to serve in the mission field in Africa and loves to share those experiences with others. She has been married to her best friend for 30 years and both her sons married in 2009. Now her family includes two daughters. Her favorite verse is Ecclesiastes 4:9-10.

Youth Ministries Director, Harlan Harper
Graduate of the University of Kansas, and devoted Jayhawk for any sport. Harlan wishes to enjoy a meal with Chris Farley, Noah, and Abe Lincoln. He is very thankful for the friends he has gotten to know and meet through the years. Favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10.

Associate Director of Youth and Worship, Lucas Kinser
Lucas attended Covenant Bible College in Strathmore, Alberta CA. He led worship and Bible studies in a Canadian Prison for a year. He is also a certified railroad conductor. Lucas is very grateful for the things God has blessed him with and for the undying love and grace God provides for him. He is the music leader that the youth enjoy and relate to. The verse he lives by is Joshua 1:9. The perfect day for Lucas is roughing it in the Alaskan mountains, which goes back to the previous verse, he doesn't fear because he knows God is with him wherever he goes.

Jan received her undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. After being a full-time Mom and raising three children, she returned to school and received her Master's in Religious Studies from Central Baptist Seminary. She strives to constantly engage children in learning about Jesus in creative and exciting environments. Jan enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite book is A Prayer for Owen Meaney. Her life verse is Jer. 29:11

Childcare Coordinator, Jan McCreary
Jan grew up in New Jersey, attended college in Ohio. Her family family includes: husband, Stan Koczanowski of 26 years and four children, who are all attending college. Jan never leaves home without her cell phone and pocket Bible. Favorite verse is Micah 6:8.

Children's Worship Assistant, Debbie Meiser
Debbie serves as a part-time staffer that works to create worship for our younger kids. She has studied Child Development and Children's Literature at the University of Pittsburgh (PA not KS). She makes delicious chocolate ship cookies and enjoys her time with her sons. One piece of advice to parents, "Cherish your children for who and what they are, not who you want them to be."

A graduate of SM North West HS, Paula is at home in Overland Park. She received a degree in Elementary Education from Pittsburg University in Kansas. With three teenage children her weekends and spare time are filled going to soccer, volleyball, baseball and basketball games.

Wedding Coordinator, Leslie McMillan
Leslie's first career was teaching and she taught all ages; three years through 12th grade. She has been the wedding coordinator since 1983. Her favorite movie is Gone with the Wind. Her life verse is Isaiah 40:31.

Facilities Manager, Matt Hendrickson
Matt has worked in remodeling and construction since his high school years. He has also been a manufacturer's representative and brings many years of experience to his position at PCOS. Matt has used his expertise for many of the remodeling projects at church. He enjoys spending time with wife and three children at the lake. His quote for daily living, "Live like you will die tomorrow, die like you will live forever."

 

Janitor, Robert McGowin
Robert joined the PCOS staff in July 2010. He has many years of experience at Rockhurst College working as part of their janitorial staff. Robert enjoys time with his wife and family. They love to play basketball as a family and promote a healthy life style.
